In the tradition of Jewish charity, monetary donations are often made in multiples of either 613, the number of good deeds commanded in the Tora, or 18, the numerical value of the Hebrew word for life, chai. Whether or not you chose to follow this tradition, we are deeply grateful for any commitment, be it a smaller or a more significant amount.

How will your donation reach the program’s host organization?
The Federation of Jewish Communities in Hungary maintains a separate account for the donations. The full sums will be transferred to the organizations realizing the projects. The Federation will not withhold any interest or commission.
After the fundraising period, all donations will be transferred to the program's host organization. If the full required sum is not achieved, the project will be modified to make the best use of the available donations towards the original goal.

Who may contribute to the costs of the projects?
Any natural or legal person is entitled to support the projects.
Unless you indicate otherwise, your name and donation amount will appear on the list of the projects’ benefactors.

Who will have access to your personal data?
We will not forward your personal data to any third party. Neither will your personal data forwarded to the organization fulfilling the project, even if your donation is not anonymous.

What will happen after you donate?
We will be happy to send you a letter acknowledging your contribution and thanking for your participation.
Upon request, we will be happy to send you an invoice for your charitable donation, either online or via mail.
You will get information on the development, and the final report of the program you supported on this webpage.

This is a collection of online, thematic walks inside synagogues. Click on a walk to start. Each walk starts in front of the building, in virtual space. If it is possible, we walk around it first, then we enter to see the spaces inside. To walk through a tour, you will have to click through the highlighted spots, from which texts and pictures will pop up. The spots come in a linear, thematic sequence.

On the opening page of each virtual walk there is a chart on which you can look up the spaces to be visited.

To get a better experience, we recommend that you use a tablet or a laptop or desktop computer, rather than a smartphone.

On the page of each walk, there is a menu on the right, where you can find the synagogue’s address and the relevant contact details, may access a knowledge base, and find links to further online resources.
